The Tekena Curv is the latest in the line of Chalet Trailers. Based on the legendary design of the Chalet popup trailer, the Curv is an ultra-light camp trailer weighing in at only 1830 lbs with only 215 lbs hitch weight.

The light weight design of the Chalet line of campers and trailers has made it a favorite for people wanting to tow a trailer behind a car, small pickup, minivan or SUV. The low-profile aerodynamic design of the Tekena Curv keeps the trailer from acting like a sail when being pulled on windy highways. This design also makes it more efficient to pull a Tekena Curv than almost any other brand of trailer. Even with the low-profile design the Curv still gives 6’6” of headroom.

The Chalet Curv isn’t short on features though. Anyone that has struggled to fit in a compact bathroom will appreciate the Swivel toilet design allowing for more foot room while using the toilet. The Curv also has the distinction of being the lightest travel trailer with a dry bathroom (i.e the toilet is not in the shower).

This unit is fully self contained with a 6 gallon Black water tank, a 30 gallon Grey water tank and a 29 gallon Fresh water tank. The galley area includes an acrylic sink and faucet with a 12v water pump. A 55 amp converter and battery charger keeps the batteries charged when camping in a campground with hookups and feeds standard power receptacles. There is a 2 burner cook stove in the galley along with a 3.0 cu.ft. 3-way fridge.

The Curv comes standard with a 12,000 btu furnace to keep you warm and a optional 11,500 BTU air conditioner with a heat pump. You can also opt for a gas/electric DSI water heater. Other nice upgrades include an outside shower and outdoor grill as well as a dual propane tank setup for longer trips.

In short, this compact camp trailer has one of the most efficient designs available both in adding features into a very limited space and keeping the weight down to allow it to be towed by most vehicles including many cars. While a little cramped for large families it is the perfect design for couples wanting to take all the conveniences of home with them.
